Federal
Minimum Wage Increases |
|
The Federal Minimum
Wage is set to increase in three increments over the next three
years. An initial increase from $5.15/hour to $5.85/hour
took place on July 24 of this year, with further increases
scheduled as follows:
July 24, 2008: $6.55/hour
July 24, 2009: $7.25/hour
Currently, the state minimum wages in both Minnesota and
Wisconsin are higher than the federal minimum wage ($6.15/hour
in Minnesota; $6.50/hour in Wisconsin).

own home-based businesses. The presentation will provide
you with information on how to get started with your business
idea and what resources are available to help you, as well as
encouragement from some local mothers who have successfully
started their own businesses.

presentation will follow La Leche League's regular monthly
meeting and is open to all area moms who are interested in
finding out more about how to start their own homebased
