New Annual Electronic Filing
Requirement
for Small, Tax-Exempt Organizations |
|
Beginning in 2008, small tax-exempt organizations that
previously were not required to file returns may be required to
file an annual electronic notice. This filing requirement
applies to tax periods beginning after December 31, 2006.
Organizations that do not file the notice will lose their

Minnesota is about to experience a permanent shift in the age of
our population. We have always aged as individuals, but for the
first time in history, we will age as a society, and the effects
will be profound. Transform 2010 is a project that seeks to
heighten the sense of urgency to transform policies,
infrastructures, and services within all sectors to prepare for
Minnesota’s age wave.
Regional summits will be held this
fall to provide information and ideas that will motivate
individuals, community leaders, businesses, providers and
elected officials to take action and transform their
organizations and communities to prepare for the aging of

At each
summit, Loren Coleman, Assistant Commissioner, Continuing Care
Administration, MN Department of Human Services, will present
the Blueprint for 2010, a plan to prepare Minnesota for the
dramatic demographic shifts that will begin in 2011, when the
first baby boomers turn 65. The program will also highlight
local organizations that have already taken steps to prepare for
this shift. Each summit attendee will also receive a copy of the
Blueprint for 2010, a series of fact sheets on ways to take
action, and more.
