Duluth,
MN – The Northeast Entrepreneur Fund has appointed Jennifer
Young as business developer for its new Growing Neighborhood
Businesses (GNB) program.
In her new
role, Young will provide one-on-one counseling to neighborhood
businesses in business planning, analysis and financing. She
will work with business owners to provide an initial needs
assessment and develop a plan for future expansion.
Through the
GNB program, the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund provides technical
assistance and training for small-business owners in five
neighborhoods of Duluth—East Hillside, Central Hillside, Lincoln
Park, Morgan Park and West Duluth. The goal of the GNB program
is to promote self-sufficiency and stimulate job creation by
helping to expand existing neighborhood businesses.
Previously,
Young worked at Duluth Pack as customer service, shipping and
credit manager, and at Advanstar Communications in Duluth as
credit manager.
