Christy ClayWomen’s Business Center Director Director Christy Clay creates and enhances programs for the Women’s Business Center, expands the network of influential women entrepreneurs, and connects women entrepreneurs to essential resources. Her experience as owner of Vermilion Boat Works and The Boat House Inn in Cook, MN gives her firsthand knowledge of owning and operating a business. She has also worked as a small business management consultant for a range of clients. Clay holds a BS in Human Development from Colorado State University and is enrolled in the Master of Arts in Management at the College of St. Scholastica. 218-623-5729 |

Carmen BeardsleyStart Up Specialist As the Entrepreneur Fund’s Start-Up Specialist, Carmen acts as a resource for entrepreneurs as they begin to get their business ideas off the ground. She helps them decide which direction to take and how to get there. She arranges training opportunities and connects clients with other helpful resources. And with her banking and customer service background, she has a firm grasp of the details.
