The Entrepreneur Fund Announces Three New Staff Members

Duluth, Minnesota – The Entrepreneur Fund is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members as the organization continues to grow in lending and development in the region. Andrew Finco filled the role of Client Support Specialist, Dawn Hagen joined the financing team as a Credit Analyst, and Janie Moore came onboard as the Development Manager.

As the Client Support Specialist, Andrew Finco delivers a professional, consistent and exemplary customer experience for clients seeking strategic services or small business loans by assisting them at all stages of the business cycle. Before joining the Entrepreneur Fund, he worked as a personal banker and then branch manager for Wells Fargo, building up over seven years of experience. Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Bemidji State University.

“We’re excited to strengthen our team with Andrew’s customer service experience,” said Shawn Wellnitz, Entrepreneur Fund CEO. “He’s working with entrepreneurs at all levels to help them achieve their expansion goals with the financing and strategic services they need to grow.”

As a Credit Analyst, Dawn Hagen provides timely, detailed, accurate loan file processing and loan documentation. A Cloquet native, she brings with her over 27 years of financial institution and consumer lending experience with Members Cooperative Credit Union. Dawn fills an essential role on the Entrepreneur Fund’s financing team, helping more business owners access flexible financing.

“Dawn has been an excellent addition to our financing team,” continued Wellnitz. “Her extensive expertise with processing loans is a great asset. We are fortunate to have her on board.”

As Development Manager, Janie Moore leads the development function for the Entrepreneur Fund, executes grant cycles and maintains a robust data collection process. She brings ten years of experience in development, program management, evaluation and grant writing. Janie is a native of Craig, Colorado and grew up in a community that had economic declines due to the closing of coal mines. She had an interest in those impacts on her region, specifically around community health outcomes, and worked in that arena for the past eight years. Janie holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Colorado State University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Denver.

“Janie is a great fit for this role. As our organization expands, it is crucial to have a strong Development Manager pulling in opportunities to expand our services and lending options,” Wellnitz concluded.
